To make the base I did a smooth frosting base and then used Homemade Fondant for the white stripes. Go HERE for my favorite Fondant recipe and HERE for smoothing tips.
To make the Bow on Top of the cake I tinted Wiltons white fondant so harden in place. The round part of the bow I let dry around a rolled length of saran wrap before placing it on the cake and adding the rest of the “ribbon.”
