This only problem with this cake was figuring out how to represent Tommys favorite Avengers. He gave me his top 3 and I thought he said Hulk instead of Iron Man (!!!) so I added a last minute fondant covered plastic lid with a Popsicle stick holding it on top of the cake. It worked great and he didnt mind have 4 Avengers on there! I used green icing with the smooth icing technique found HERE for Hulk, and for my fondant I used this RECIPE for all the colors except the red and black. Before I put the stripes on for Captain America I did a thicker than usual crumb coat and for all the layers I made sure they were really well chilled before adding the decorations.
