Basketball Party

April 21, 2014

I wanted to make my lines straight on these cupcake toppers, not all squiggly like they look when I pipe them. So I used two different sizes of circle cutters to get my round lines, (cutting out first with the larger one, then just inside it with the smaller one) and a pizza cutter for the straight lines. For the cakes it worked to just cut long straight strips of fondant and place them on the cake. I made sure my cakes were cold when I did it so I could move the fondant around a little with out sticking. (To get the smooth cakes I used THIS TECHNIQUE. You can go HERE for my basketball cake pop post :)).
