The Eagle Scout Badge on top has cardboard inside for structure. The flag took a couple tries, to get it to drape on the cake I had to place it while it was nice and flexible but that also meant parts of it dropped off (!!!) so I ended up putting a solid fondant backing so it had more support. For the cake below I found it was easier to cut strips of red and white fondant, roll the edges under just a bit and lay them side by side (spraying a little water to make them stick.) My favorite part is the scout belt! For all these cakes I used the Smooth Frosting Technique.
