This is what I gave out last year to friends as my Christmas treat. I used a THIS homemade marshmallow recipe (because its just so perfectly delicious!) but instead of the almond extract I used peppermint. While the mallows were setting up in their trays I used this mold- (I found it at World Market but its also on-line.)
It calls for a mix of semi sweet and white chocolate chips with a little butter. (complete directions come with the tray or email me for more details!) When it was set I broke it into bars and set it on the sheet of marshmallows cutting gently around it to get the right size. I used crushed candy canes around the edges and put each mallow bar in its own little treat bag and the result was so fun!
