These roses were really pretty simple to make, I just needed to be sure I gave them enough drying time. I didn’t ruffle the edges of the petals because I wanted a more simple, clean look.
For each rose I started with one petal wrapped around the end of a cake pop stick for my center, then added 3 petals at a time, letting it dry in an egg crate with saran wrap bunched to support the shape as it dried.
I used the same size cake pan as the top tier of the cake to “practice” placement so I knew I would have what I needed, the center rose was placed in last, I just pushed the cake pop stick into the cake.
