These were fun- I love the way Royal Icing looks but I love the way butter cream tastes so I colored my sugar cookie dough as red as I could (adding a bit of extra flour to balance all the food coloring!) and then after my hearts were baked I doubled them up with butter cream in the center and royal icing on the top for decorating.
