PB Oatmeal Double Chip Cookies

June 30, 2014

This are so good- the dough AND the cookies. (I used our own healthy chicken eggs so I was not worried about the raw egg, not that I ever have anyway!) The cookies are just the perfect texture- just a little crispy and still chewy in the middle. LOVE LOVE LOVE. 1 c butter 1 c creamy peanut butter 1 1/2 c brown sugar, packed 1 c granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 TBL vanilla extract 2 1/4 c all-purpose flour 2 c old fashioned whole oats 1 tsp baking soda 2 c chocolate chips (or 1 12 oz ... Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

June 13, 2014

I was all set to bake a cake, but my son said he just wanted Ice Cream Sandwiches so we combined the ideas! Super Easy- so fast. Its pretty self explanatory but use any brand or flavor Sandwich (we used Vanilla and Neapolitan), cool whip, and caramel. Just layer them up (quickly so they dont melt,) refreeze then cover with whip cream! It was really good. ... VIEW POST

Disneyland Cake

June 13, 2014

This cake was for our friend Zach. He received a trip for his whole family to Disney World from the Make-a-wish foundation! I didnt know this, but the foundation is giving "wishes" to children who have conditions that COULD be life threatening instead of just to children on hospice. I love that this wonderful family had such a great trip together. For ... VIEW POST

Over the Hill Cake

June 12, 2014

This was a fun cake because the recipient is not actually over the hill ;). For the little pill box I made a rice crispy rectangle- I just cant stand the thought of a big heavy piece of fondant, and people love eating the Rice Crispy Toppers. To make the Dentures I used orange and yellow to get that kind of strange color. I rolled my Homemade Fondant into U shapes and used my little ball tool to make the indents for the "teeth." We have a handicap sign for our boys so I just copied ... VIEW POST

Owl Cake

June 11, 2014

This cake was a combo of several basic techniques. By combining them you can create your own beautiful cake! Homemade Fondant for the decorating. How to frost a smooth cake for the base. And how to make Rice Crispy Figures for the owl topper. Because it had a RC center it wasnt too heavy to sit on the cake and I love how it turned out! I used Wiltons Ribbon and ABC silicone molds for the bottom tier. Email me with any specific questions! ... VIEW POST
