These are perfect for when you need a treat but dont want to turn on your oven or spend all day in the kitchen. My kids thought these were awesome! I used these "Little Debbies" and my first try ended up getting too smashed when I pressed the cookie cutter down on them. So I stuck the little cakes in the freezer for 15 minutes and then instead of pressing down with my heart cutter I gently cut around it with a sharp knife and it worked great! I am sure you could use any brand (and I want to ... VIEW POST
Choc Chip Cookies
Why do I love recipes with a "Secret Ingredient"?? I just do :) & after years of trying to make cookies like "mom used to make" I finally found a no fail recipe! I love ALL BUTTER recipes the best (because the DOUGH tastes better) but they seem to always be flat. Not these! I got this recipe from a cousin and it was delicious but a tad dry, so I added a little less flour and 1/2 a packet of vanilla pudding. Magic! Chocolate Chip Cookies (Preheat oven to 375) 4 sticks (2 cups) butter - at room ... VIEW POST
3 reasons to make RC Cake Toppers

Mad Scientist
For everything on this Mad Scientist (except the red and black) I used homemade fondant and frosting. See "Tricks of the Trade" or go HERE for my favorite fondant recipe and instructions. The hair was going to take to long to roll by hand so I used a #12 Wilton tip and used frosting, just applying a little pressure and pulling up straight up to create the point. For the "atoms" I used toothpicks with little balls of fondant, putting them in one at a time at different heights. As I added them I ... VIEW POST
Giraffe
This cake was decorated with both Fondant and Modeling Chocolate. Fondant is perfect for decorations that need to stand on their own, but it does not taste good! So I try to incorporate Modeling Chocolate where ever possible, it tastes so much better. MC will firm up for decorating (especially if you put it in the fridge) and works beautifully for covering a "base" like rice crispy treats, but MC decorations without a base will start to wilt if it gets warm. Once fondant is dry it will keep its ... VIEW POST
