We made these for a special group- Fire Station 37 is just about a mile from our house and they are the ones who have responded several times over the years when my little boys stopped breathing. Its been a long time since we have had to call them and this year as we tried to think of all the things we are grateful for, these First Responders topped the list.
These cupcakes are just so fun and really easy to make. I did a base coat of frosting on sugar cones so that there wouldn’t be any brown spots showing through. I used a 6 prong mini tip and squeezed just a little bit of frosting and pulled back quickly. To apply the “ornaments” we had fun throwing the sprinkles at the trees! A little fondant star topped them off perfectly.
