This cake was so cute. I colored the frosting for the base cake a darker shade of brown than the fondant I had cut the shape of the face from. (see Tricks of the Trade for a great Fondant recipe.) To make the Mane I used a number 5 tip from this set Ateco 6-Piece Pastry Tube and Tips Set for some reason I cant find that tip on its own. I started from the sides of the cake and worked my way towards the face, squeezing just a little frosting out then pulling back quickly to make the point.
