Mermaid Ruffle Cake

I was making this cake at 2am so I forgot to take any how to pics- fortunately I have used these techniques before! Go here to see how I did the Ruffles, and for the Mermaid I used my Rice Crispy Figure technique. I form the base and then cover it with fondant. It makes a lighter cake topper than solid fondant. The kids love saving and eating them too! I used RC for the tails on the Cupcakes as well. For the ocean it was fun to make crazy and different shapes for my “reef” and for the fish bubbles I cut out circles with a frosting tip, then used a tip the next size down to cut out the centers. I love how it turned out!
