It happened twice in one week- which was strange because it had never happened before. We are used to the double takes or long stares as people walk by (Ben usually just waves,) we are used to kids asking "why is that on his neck?" and of course, I know they look different. But still.... I was sitting watching Jack's indoor soccer game so I kept looking back to check on Ben and Ty and I saw them talking really animatedly to a boy. I snapped a couple pics as always before going over, (no one ... VIEW POST
She’s a keeper!
I still remember Ben's face right before we met the dogs- he was SO excited. When I look back through all that happened when we were matched with our sweet Tallula (the post is HERE) I cant believe its been a year since we officially took Tula's leash from her Puppy Raisers Dawn and Dan, and brought her home with us. She has become such a part of life, we can't remember what it was like without her! She is a part of everything- the first cub scout uniform, field trips, dress up, hard ... VIEW POST
Honey I crashed the car.
This pic says it all, and the roof even popped back up a little when they turned the car over! So we were going to a wedding reception. I had made the wedding cake but since I don't deliver, it was already there in one piece. Jonathan was at a camp out with Jack, and Scott was just home from a swim meet and too tired to leave so Natalie, Ben, Ty and I loaded up in the car. We sat in the driveway for a few minutes debating if we really should go because Ben was SO tired and I had a lot of cake ... VIEW POST
Yip-PEE!!!!!
I thought this photo of Ben and Ty cheering at Jacks Flag Football game last Friday was appropriate. Today I had a little unexpected "hallelulah!" moment. Seriously I felt so grateful and it was for such a silly thing. Boys come with the distinct advantage of being able to pee anyplace without it being too much of a hassle, or so I thought. Ben just figured out Potty Training a couple months ago and the first time we went to a park where the bathroom was locked we had some issues. He couldn't ... VIEW POST
Happy Birthday Ben!
Ben you are the best. I cant talk about you without melting just a little bit. You are one of the most loving people I know, it's unconditional and immediate. One of my favorite things in the world is how you randomly say "I love you mom" through out the day because I love you SO much too. Thanks for being such a fan of our family- I love how you tell people (yes random strangers) all the names of everyone in your "fa-muh-yee" even when they are not quite sure what you're talking about. Riding ... VIEW POST
Pssshhhhhhhhhh
I dont know what to title this. The sound that a balloon makes as you let the air out of it is what I was going for. It was a good day, church was good, we finished up our Christmas decorations (except the tree which we will get Friday.) But tonight I am sad. Not melt down cry sad but the kind of sad where it feels heavy, and I want to just sit on the couch and watch Netflix until I am too tired to think. I almost did that because sitting down to write about this makes me feel like a boob but I ... VIEW POST
