Jonathans co-worker mentioned that sometimes my blog makes it sound like I feel like life is really hard. Hmmmm. Could it be because some of my posts are titled "Boo Hoo", "Had a bad day", "Jealous" or "Honey I crashed the car" ? Maybe! :) If I really wanted to sound sad I should add a few more like "Christmas in the ICU" or from the following year "How to give CPR to your 2 month old." But even as I write the titles to seemingly not so nice days, I know that now they just bring ... VIEW POST
They’re not creepy.
It happened twice in one week- which was strange because it had never happened before. We are used to the double takes or long stares as people walk by (Ben usually just waves,) we are used to kids asking "why is that on his neck?" and of course, I know they look different. But still.... I was sitting watching Jack's indoor soccer game so I kept looking back to check on Ben and Ty and I saw them talking really animatedly to a boy. I snapped a couple pics as always before going over, (no one ... VIEW POST
She’s a keeper!
I still remember Ben's face right before we met the dogs- he was SO excited. When I look back through all that happened when we were matched with our sweet Tallula (the post is HERE) I cant believe its been a year since we officially took Tula's leash from her Puppy Raisers Dawn and Dan, and brought her home with us. She has become such a part of life, we can't remember what it was like without her! She is a part of everything- the first cub scout uniform, field trips, dress up, hard ... VIEW POST
Happy Anniversary Darling!
I went all out this year because you deserve ONLY the best. Yes, I know you loved our Excursion. I still remember how proud you were the day we drove it home, I was 4 months pregnant with Jack and you were so excited to have a big family car! But honey that was 12 years ago, and even though it was all paid off and you thought we would drive it at least another 5 years..... I knew that this would make it an anniversary you would never forget! So to keep you from feeling angst about the ... VIEW POST
Honey I crashed the car.
This pic says it all, and the roof even popped back up a little when they turned the car over! So we were going to a wedding reception. I had made the wedding cake but since I don't deliver, it was already there in one piece. Jonathan was at a camp out with Jack, and Scott was just home from a swim meet and too tired to leave so Natalie, Ben, Ty and I loaded up in the car. We sat in the driveway for a few minutes debating if we really should go because Ben was SO tired and I had a lot of cake ... VIEW POST
13 going on 21….4….30….2….
Natalie you just turned 13. I really can't believe our girl, our ONLY girl is a teenager. I feel like I am watching you like a hawk and you can blame it on Scotty. I blinked and he went from 9 to 16 and I am not going to let that happen with you. I am trying to soak in every change, every moment because I am afraid that I will turn around and my little girl will just be gone. It's such a unique time- I feel like I see shades of every age in you right now..... I see glimpses of the young ... VIEW POST
