Sail Boat
I thought this turned out cute! I used floral wire for the outline of the sails, because I didn't have time to let them dry for days.I liked the look! I Used a bamboo skewer to attach the wire, then gently pressed my fondant triangles onto it. I put little strips of fondant over the back wire. I let it dry overnight and it held up great! I gently pressed it into a Rice Crispy boat base. For the frosting I didnt mix the blue all the way through- you cant really see in the photo but it made the ... VIEW POST
Boo Hoo
I started with Boo Hoo because look at those faces? It's hard to want to write about the stuff that is hard. Boo Hoo Poor Me. I don't like to be a whiner. And I know I am sometimes. I have so much to be grateful for that I get really annoyed at myself for feeling depressed and discouraged. Boo Hoo. Sappy Dog Post
Well we have had Tula home for over 2 months now. We were at the dentist waiting for Natalie and Ben saw a little girl walk in and start playing at the magnet table, he ran over and started playing right next to her ... VIEW POST

Add Crisco, and half the pwd sugar, mix until combined. Add water one Tbl at a time alternating with the remaining sugar kneading the dough until well blended. Place it in an airtight Ziplock. In between using it I smooth on a small bit of Crisco to act as a layer against drying out. It is very useful ... VIEW POST
Princess Cake (Sophia the 1st)
This type of princess is ALWAYS a hit. The little girls (and mom's) just love them. As you can see from the above pics I start with a Rice Crispy base (yes I ran low on RC and added a few cheerios!) and I this time I used a milk cap that I cut the center from to support my popsicle stick. It kept the stick from leaning forward or backward. I added the torso, neck and then head, connecting them with smashed RC, then applied a thin layer of fondant to start smoothing it out. I used a little ... VIEW POST
