For the longest time I wasn't sure if I should freeze my cake pops, I was worried they might get sticky from the condensation and I didnt want to waste any! And the nice thing is cake pops last a long time at room temperature (especially when they are double dipped and in their cute wrappers.) I have had people tell me they found one after 2 weeks and it was still delicious (that is stretching it but they are easily good for 5 days.) If you do want to freeze your pops place them in a plastic ... VIEW POST
Sport Cake Toppers
Cake Toppers tend to be the hit of the party, kids LOVE them. And its more fun that they have a delicious inside instead of solid fondant (which is also way too heavy!) When I am making my rice crispy inside I use THIS RECIPE and I like to let them dry overnight. For the football I used Modeling Chocolate but MM Fondant with a little brown color would work too. I have used both but MC tastes the best :). To make the soccer ball I rolled the fondant, covered it with wax paper and use a ... VIEW POST
Owl Cake Pops
I forgot to take a picture before I dipped them the first time but you can see the 3 steps. I took my chilled pop, dipped the pop stick in chocolate then into the pop, then glued two chocolate chips for ears. (I just used a tiny bit of the chocolate as glue, they stayed on great.) The pop on the right has been dipped just once, after it dried I dipped it again and then decorated them all when completely dry. Cake pops can be frustrating but if you know a few basic techniques they can be so ... VIEW POST

Mix the butter and sugar until creamy then add the vanilla and ... VIEW POST

Silver and Gold
To get the long stripes I taped some wax paper on my table because I needed a long smooth service. I rolled my fondant flat, cut stripes and then sprayed them with Duffs Edible Gold Spray. (Let them sit for a couple minutes to dry before applying to the cake.) I put the silver pearls on by putting them in my palm and then gently pressing them into the sides of the cake. I used tweezers to fill in the holes where needed. For the ruffles I cut out circles, ruffled them around the edges and ... VIEW POST
